About The Release
In Celebration Of the Bands 20 year anniversary, Bang On The Ear entered the studio in December 2025 to begin the process of releasing a brand new studio album, "Highland Road". The album must be listened to in sequence, as a great amount of time and thought were put into the layout of songs and the selection of material, commented Bradley McMillan. The band wanted to create an album that flowed from start to finish and each track pieced together the songs around it. Several new songs were written for the release and a return to a more electric sound as heard on the bands debut "Green Grass & Gravel Roads" 20 years ago was at the forefront of the sound of the release. In Typical BOTE Fashion the theme of Glengarry County is present in the new material, and a celebration of past records and 20 years as a group is on full display. Tracks like "Twenty" and "Freight Train" continue to push the bands songwriting ability and delivers over 20 years of experience on the road and in the studio.
Recorded at 2914 Studio's from December 2025 to May 2026 the project was engineered, produced, Mixed and mastered by Bradley McMillan. It is Our favorite album to date, and we are exstatic at the outcome of the recording and album as a whole.
